She has some of Akuruka power because of her bloodline but she cannot transform like them.

She does not have Akuruka power... the power she was able to use is due to her bloodline from the god Uitsualnemetia, which used her father as a vessel hence why Kuon was able to inherit that power. While all Akuruka is a defective/failed product produced based on the original mask that Hakuoro was wearing (First owlo of Tuskur and also Kuon's real father) "Akuruka" is the power of the mask while "Akuruturuka" is the user of Akuruka. So no, she DOES NOT have Akuruka power but the power of Uitsualnemetia

Just realised what Haku and Mikazuchi's monster forms reminded me of; they look like Dialga and Palkia from pokemon. Haku being Dialga and Mikazuchi being Palkia, they're the same body shape and even the same colour.

ho ho.......kuon intervene scene was different. much better in my opinion or at least i much prefer it vs the VN and Zan 2.

I loved the kaiju battle, but to this day I still kinda loathe the fact that Kuon interfered in the battle in the VN, it was going so well and it was hype... but I understand why she did it, after all she was protecting the man she loves.

But overall, this was a decent episode but the pace is still way too fast... a shame indeed, also things are about to ramp up again in the next few episodes.

Maybe I just don't remember this part in the VN but I don't recall them exposing the truth of the Akuruturuka and how it eats away at your soul until salt right now

It is hinted at us at the end of "Mask of Truth", when Oshtor used his power too much in his final fight. It is not outright stated, but when Nekkone pleads with her brother to stop, she does it with the knowledge that if she doesn't stop him, he will die.

The masks that they created were "defective" to say the least, at least compared to the original design (the one worn by Hakuoro in the original series).

They changed it to eliminate the subtext and subtlety from the VN and keep all points in the story simple and straight-forward. It's a regular thing in this show.

This is official, Kuon is a BITCH!!!! You NEVER interfere in a True Men's Battle!!! This is one of the best battles that happened since Luffy vs Kaido and its hype was monumental! Was expecting the intensity to last until one of them died! That is how it was supposed to end! How dare she interfere like that and stop the clash with nonsense like making another bitch cry!?!?!?! Where are the good old days when subordinates used to watch their lords battle majestically and in awe of their superior skills and just respect their ruler's dying wish for the sake of victory??? Stopping that battle was the same as denying a man's value! That is a sin that should be punished by torture and death!!! So many bland and boring battles in anime for a while and now when we finally get a better one, it gets fuckin' interrupted?!?!!? This is typical of women to interfere where its none of their business, may they all rot and DIE!!!!!!!!!!
